Sorry but I feel like I win eclipse viewing scenarios

Ignore the galoot on the right and focus on the beauty on the left. That phenomenal soul is celebrating her annual April Fools birthday today, and boy is this one pivotal. Now she can drink, gamble, go to clubs and even adopt a child! Yep. 21. Freakin’. Years. Old. I’m speechless, but truly proud beyond words at what she’s become. Now I’m the one who needs to drink, gamble, go to a club and adopt a new child to wrap my head around it all. To the moon BDog.

Ava was not pleased with the birthday photo I posted of her yesterday, even though I thought it showcased her badass attitude perfectly, flushed and post-axe throwing. But to make up for it, here is a much more flattering photo from the beads & cake feast later. And she still looks pretty badass. Hopefully now she won’t press charges.

This maniac is celebrating a pretty damn pivotal birthday today. It’s absolutely insane to me and I still can’t fully wrap my head around it. Happy birthday @avardixon! You are a masterpiece of originality, and to me there’s no larger compliment than that.

Some brief glimpses of The 2024 Annie Awards. Coop, Clarise and I did the whole red carpet thing, which was fun, but we sadly missed a few members of our CURSES! team who came later and couldn’t join. Tidbits to notice:

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will host a month-long series of screenings of classic horror films with “Universal’s Legacy of Horror” in October. The series is part of the studio’s year-long 100th anniversary celebration engaging Universal’s fans and all movie lovers in the art of moviemaking. Pictured: THE BIRDS, 1963.
