Hey everyone, it’s been a while so I figured I better put out a quick update. Well, it’s actually ironic that I used the word, “quick” because most of this update is about how NOTHING moves quickly. Ever.
First, Run Like Hell. As the Kickstarter stated, I initially was shooting for having the books ready by mid-August, but well, there have been some delays on the printing side of things, and now it appears that the books will be coming to you in September. Sorry about the delay, but it’s out of my hands. Trust me, if I could just give you the books now, I would. But no worries, it will look gorgeous and wonderful. Oh, and the final page count is now 104 pages. 104 pages of glory.
Also on the Run Like Hell news front, APE Entertainment has informed me that because of the success of the Kickstarter, they are going to join with it and have a formal hardcover release of the book in November. That means it’ll actually be in comic book stores as well, not just online sites. They said they were even going to try and get ad space for it to give it a little APE promotion. Sweet! I must say, this is ALL because of my amazing Kickstarter followers. None of this would have happened without you. None of it. I’m so excited to be listing all of your names in the back of the book. I couldn’t be more grateful.
On the film front, we are indeed in pre-production on a few films. UrbEx, my urban exploration film that has been around for quite some time (originally titled, Buried), has come back to life… again. We have a new director and new producers. I just finished a rewrite for them and then we are off to cast. As soon as I have casting news, I will fill you in.
Of few of my other films, Beta Test, The Dark, Bridal Bash, and The Canvas, also have various updates and minor news attached to them, but I’ll wait until the news becomes more solidified before I start spouting about those. You know how Hollywood is.
And lastly… the BIG news.
I know some of you have noticed that I’ve been hinting at something BIG for a while now. Well, trust me, it is a game changer for me. But I still sadly cannot release the info yet. The contract negotiations have taken almost two months, and while they are ALLLLLMOST done, I still can’t say anything until my John Hancock is on that dotted line. But yes, I think it is safe to say that this big news lies… in the TV world. I’m pretty sure I can say that. Anyway, it is awesome and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
Anyway, pretty sure that’s all that’s fit to print for now. P.S., go see The Conjuring. It is just an utterly fantastic old school creeper. You will love it.
Until next time. Take care everyone.
