The Underground Graphic Novel RUN LIKE HELL is Being Released in Print.

Los Angeles, CA – February 18, 2015 – After years of underground fan-to-fan distribution in digital form, the graphic novel RUN LIKE HELL is being released in print to the mass audience, thanks to fan support of a successful Kickstarter campaign. Created by horror writer Jeff Dixon, illustrated by cult artist Karl Slominski, RUN LIKE HELL is being published by APE Entertainment, known mostly for its line of Dreamworks Animation titles (Shrek, Kung Fu Panda) and younger fare (Sesame Street, Richie Rich). Yet, with its Poison Elves revival, APE Entertainment will also cater to more adventurous, mature fare, like RUN LIKE HELL.

The publisher explains, “RUN LIKE HELL is about… Hell. Although, no one has seen Hell portrayed like this before. This is a wholly original vision, with a horror/comedy take on the macabre subject matter. RUN LIKE HELL is about one man’s mission to do the unthinkable, and escape the demon, frat boy, mime, diva, clown, and pet peeve-filled cesspool of Hell.”

Dixon further explains, “I like to think of RUN LIKE HELL in the vein of a classic escape film like Logan’s Run, only set in Hell, and you’re tripping on mushrooms.”

After gaining numerous underground fans from private copies emailed from fan to fan, RUN LIKE HELL culminated with a wider print run after it was 100% funded by fans through a Kickstarter campaign. Dixon speaks of the journey, “RUN LIKE HELL became that runaway train that no one was going to stop. Karl (Slominski) and I are elated that more people will now enjoy our insanity.”
